Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I need to use my fancy stitches to keep them from freezing up according to the man who does maintainence on my machine. I think I will give her method a try. :)

QuiltnNan 10-20-2011 07:09 PM

I'm so glad you posted this. I was pretty sure I had seen those machine embroidery designs before, just couldn't remember where. Just shows how fabric selections can make a design your own. Same pattern, but two stunning quilts with different personalities!

Beautiful quilt!! Thanks for sharing. I love to use my embroidery stitches on my machine and this is a great way to bring them into my quilting.

dmyers 10-21-2011 05:23 AM

Great job! I'm guilty for not using my fancy stitches on my machine.

Minnesewta-sam 10-21-2011 06:05 AM

Great idea for machine stiches. Very pretty quilts!

labug 10-21-2011 06:43 AM

Beautiful

Granny Quilter 10-21-2011 07:19 AM

Those fancy stitches really embellish the quilt. My machine doesn't have all those stitches, and the ones it has, it doesn't make properly.

Marvel 10-21-2011 10:34 AM

Simply beautiful. Every woman should have a quilt like this!

CarrieC 10-21-2011 10:35 AM

There's a book with all the designs and patterns by Judy Norwicki, Pictogram Block Party...It's just for this quilt.

This quilt is a machine embroidered creation. The motifs are not created with decorative machine stitches, although the designs are digitized to look like they are.

Sorry but the stitches are all decorative stitches build into my sewing machine (Husq Viking SE) not done on my embroidery machine. This was strictly done by sewing with decorative stitches. Combining one pedal to create a flower and leaves...Heart, tear drops etc...all in my sewing machne. The SE has pages and pages of built in stitches

Rntraveler 10-22-2011 03:53 AM

No problem...everyone thinks it's embroidery...Actually this was the first quilt I took a class on as a beginner...I like to just dive into things even if beyond me but loved learning how much the sewing machine was able to do...
