A while back I received advice/help to do this. I jsut wanted to share the adorable quilt I finished for my brand new granddaughter. Hopefully my upload works!

Beautiful!

patski 11-09-2012 02:32 PM

Its' just such a happy quilt. Wonderful job and I know how wonderful and soft minky is.

siouxbelle 11-09-2012 02:35 PM

Thank you, it was fun to do and now I am excited about trying all sorts of (soft) backing fabrics. The stretchy ones are trickier but I like the variety.

Well done and adorable!

QuiltnNan 11-09-2012 03:33 PM

nicely done

So cute and, I'll bet, soft! I love Minky for it's softness, but not so much for the stretch.

Bluelady 11-09-2012 03:46 PM

Very cute! I havent had much luck using minkee. Too slippery for me to sew well.

I like what you have made, so colorful and happy.

NikkiLu 11-09-2012 06:25 PM

Do you have to wash and dry the Minkey before you use it?

sandram 11-09-2012 06:34 PM

Turned out GREAT! Love the minky, as long as its not me sewing it, lol. I tried to fmq one and spent the next 2 days taking it all out (not fun). Can't seem to get the tension right for the minky.

Diane007 11-10-2012 03:35 PM

love the colours.......

Marycumi 11-10-2012 05:05 PM

Really beautiful quilt!

anniec55 11-10-2012 05:40 PM

Really cute and well done!!! I'm going to try minkie on the back of a baby quilt I'm working on. If I get it done I'll post a picture.

Pollytink 11-11-2012 11:41 AM

I love it!! and congrats on the new granddaughter! Any chance of seeing more pics closeup of the quilting? I'm making throws for my 2 kids + spouses for Christmas, using panels for front and Minky for back and am very nervous about the quilting of Minky. Don't plan fancy designs, prob STID and maybe a bit more to hold it together but would like to know more about working with Minky. TIA!!!
