I have been using last years leftover Christmas fabric to make table toppers and table runners as gifts to family members. All of these were pieced and quilted on two of my vintage sewing machines ( Singer 201 in avatar, and National Two Spools sewing machine, 90 years old). The bindings are all finished off with a decorative stitch from a Janome TB-30 since I don't like to hand sew.

OOOOO pretty pretty pretty. I used up all my bits and pieces of Christmas fabric making gift bags for soldiers this year. So during the year I'm wanting to build it back up. I wanna be just like you when I grow up. You have a good eye and great quilting abilities. Blessings, Ruth

I just sewed strips (~ 2 ins. wide) of leftover fabrics together to form a column approximately 6 inch. I then used my 60 degree pyramid ruler to cut triangles that I then sewed together with white triangles to form the star and background. The binding is made of scraps too.

Hee hee, I don't remember a Kim mentioned as a relative. I like your avatar quilt. I plan to one day in the near future (may be next year) make one of the twister wreath quilts. I made my own temple for a Halloween whirligig quilt; that was fun.

Thanks.
