I give up. Anyone know what this thing is? I've looked everywhere and I'm stumped.

Anyone have any idea?

Not a clue - but it sure is cute. Some kind of organizer for sure. Were did you pick this up at? And how wide is it?

If it were mine I would take it apart and make it into a quilt. It is sew cute:)

It looks like a very nice storage system ... but what you would store is beyond me!!

lisalisa 06-05-2011 06:55 PM

It's listed on ebay. the seller says it's 23X17 so it's fairly small. It's super cute. I guess, with that considered it's easy to see that it's an organizer. I was thinking it was much bigger than it is and it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I would think it is just to keep your smaller sewing stuff in it. You can keep buttons, velcro, ect in it.

I know exactly what it is. It is some sort of pocket organizer that has a matching cotton fabric. I made one quite a few years ago (although I never knew where to hang it) and also made window valance, 2 sewing machine and a serger cover with the fabric.Still using them.I got the fabric many years ago at JoAnns

I HAVE A LITTLE WALL HANGING ONE of those. My oldest daughter gave it to me about 5 years ago. I use it to put stuff in the pockets...like extra empty bobbins, elastic, fray check etc etc. If you ever decide to get rid of that one please let me know. I am interested. Wow...where did you find that at?

Oh okay I thought it was HUGE. the one I have is about the same size.

Looks like you could hang it on a curtain rod in your sewing room and use it as a storage system! What a neat way to use up all available space!

It looks bigger than 23x17 ... are you sure of that measurement?

I asked the seller just to double check. That's what she said. I thought it was bigger too. I didn't even read her description at first. The picture is just an optical illusion.

This is why it's important to include something to scale in your auctions so people (me) who don't read the description can see clearly just how big something is.

If the tape measure is anywhere near correct, the sizing is shown!

I think you may have double the printed fabric, if you're wanting to take it apart .... look at the middle pocket in the far right column, it's peeled down a pit, and you can see another print on the inside.

ITA ... hang it and store the smaller miscellany in your sewing room .... though I'd be more likely to take apart, fussy cut and make into other things!

I made one of these. The size is probably right. I hung mine with a piece of yardstick in the loops at the top. It will hold notions on your wall.

I like the idea of using it in your sewing room for rulers, buttons etc. Very nice!!

I like the idea of hanging it on a yardstick...It makes me want to try and find mine LOL

PaperPrincess 06-06-2011 12:57 PM

Reminds me of the storage units for beanie babies.

Jennifer22206 06-06-2011 01:19 PM
