Versatile Wave Purse

This is my versatile wave purse.. Very easy pattern to follow. Although I think I would put the zipper in differently if I were to do it again... I would sew tabs at the ends of the zipper before inserting it. Otherwise I loved doing it.

Great purse!

RedGarnet222 02-23-2015 09:27 AM

That really came out pretty! I was just at that site yesterday checking out the rulers. Isn't that funny? I was thinking about buying the pattern. The cyber world is getting smaller.... LOL!

Very pretty pattern.

I just made this pattern as well. Agree on the zipper comment. The hardware (made by pattern designer) is a bit pricey. I found a different brand at JAF for about half the price.

I really like this purse design. And, I particularly love the fabrics you selected. It looks professionally done!

ShowMama 02-24-2015 11:42 AM

Wow, I really like it! I just recently bought the Versatile Wave pattern, but haven't started on it yet. You've inspired me to get going!:)

I love those purses, what a beautiful job you did :)

Hartllk 02-25-2015 04:25 AM

Neat job on this purse. I like the pattern too. I haven't found a way to do zippers on purses yet that makes me happy. I keep saying that if Vera can do it, we should be able to do it too. Still trying. . .

Nice looking purse!

2manyhobbies 02-25-2015 04:56 AM

I love love this pattern. I can't wait to make more of the outer pieces for mine. I found it flew together. Most bags don't.

ohstr 02-25-2015 05:52 AM

Really neat - I have the pattern in my next projects pile. Your purse looks great.

lfstamper 02-25-2015 05:55 AM

Great purses!

Tazz 02-25-2015 06:58 PM

I really like your purse, especially the Paris fabric. I hope to make that purse soon. My friend made one but used buttonholes and buttons to put the bottom piece on but the hardware really makes it look more professional.

sewingsuz 02-25-2015 07:07 PM

Real cute purses!

Sew Krazy Girl 02-25-2015 11:51 PM

Great purse! Love the fabrics

Mary O 02-26-2015 03:15 AM

Love this pattern.1st one I made was at a class.Purse was modified to have end taps,D rings at other end and we had an option to make it bigger.Regular pattern too small.....Have made 4 for gifts.......

luvrazz 02-26-2015 07:29 AM

First of all thanks for all the compliments. I made the purse 2 inches bigger all the way around. The fabric is Letters from Paris Paris cream that I purchased from Fabrics.com. I purchased the clasps from Etsy got a great deal for 24 of them (which I shared with my 4 friends that also made the purse.), and I used parachute cord which I purchasefrom Walmart for the tabs (liked the look better than the fabric tabs). The pattern called for a button on the inner bag and buttonholes on the reversible portion, however I didn't personally did not think it needed them. I wore the purse to a group of none quilters yesterday and got a gazillion compliments and was asked if I would be interested in making them. I said I didn't think anyone would be interested in paying the price that I would have to charge.
