The Very Hungry Caterpillar Quilt top
 

Hello all, I just finished this quilt top today. My Mom bought the kit the first time it came out -- what year was that? She finally asked me if I would piece it. I said I would only do it if there was no deadline. Well, once I got it started, it went together so fast I couldn't stay away from it! I pieced it in about a week -- super speedy for me, since I've been working 50 hours a week.
I don't really care for the quilt design -- it looks untidy to me -- but I'm sure someone will be very pleased to have it. I will say the fabrics are wonderfully bright and cheerful!

I just made one too - think the same way - it looks untidy - but then that is a caterpillars lifestyle- they go where no one else has gone- so untidy is the name of their domain - the little ones will enjoy them, and the bright colors in the quilts are great for the babies to gain strong eye contact- and I'm told it makes brighter babies too with brighter colors - ???? - we'll see won't we? lol

I'm not sure where you can get the kits now. My mother says the fabrics are different, and had another negative comment, but I can't remember what it was. I do remember she said the kits are now $99.00, so they must be available somplace. She may have bought her kit through Keepsake.
