Let's hear it for SuziC and Strong Hospital! (Use to live in Henrietta).
Our daughter was 6 weeks early, and spent a month and a half at Dartmouth Medical Center. One of the NICU volunteer staff handed my husband a small quilt, donated by a local group of quilters. A simple design, with simply patterned pieces. What a wonderful, reassuring gift during a time of uncertanty. It is in my daughter's "pixie dust" box...the magical box where the most sincere and treasured of gifts are kept. Keep up the good work, and know that it is truly appreciated by those of us who have received gifts like this. |
Those are lovely as are you.. you have a heart that pumps love with every beat! Bless you.
|
You did a great job and the children will never let go of them.
|
Your quilts are precious and so are your thoughts. I admire you. Whoever gets them are sooooooo lucky.
|
God bless you!

Very lucky child. They are great@

Great project and beautiful quilts that will bring joy to many little ones. My quilt guild makes small ones for the premmie ICU at our local hospital and they are also very much appreciated. Kids will love them I am sure.

Those babies are so blessed to have you thinking about them and the beautiful quilts you've made..
|
wow, so cute, thanks for sharing with us, awesome!
|
very cute!

I am thinking about making a baby quilt for my DD's little niece on her husbands side. This gives me some simple ideas to do. Thank you.
|
Wonderful job!!

The pink quilt was actually made from 2 inch strips of leftover fabric. You just use a 5 inch square and keep going around and around...very easy. I used the "stith in the ditch" for the quilting
It's a variation of the log cabin quilts with the lights and darks. Hope this helps! |
Kudos to you!

Ladies: I am feeling a bit overhelmed by all the beautiful compliments. Thank you so very much!!!
I must admit, i love doing the baby quilts but there is a selfish side too. I have made quilts for everyone i know so this gives me a way to keep on quilting and having a place to donate them. I am so thankful that my own kids have always been healthy and so are their children, this is just my little way to "give back" the only way i know how. I know that each of you are just as generous and i will repeat myself by saying that Quilters are the Best!!! |
Those are Adorable!!!
|
Those are so adorable! I know they will be loved by everyone who receives them! Thanks!
|
Just precious !! God bless yu all for your kindnesses!
|
Those are so adorable!! I didn't see your request or I would have sent any baby things I have. I don't have much and I don't see a need to use it for anything in particular. I've moved on to little kids stuff now in my family.

amandasgramma's story brought tears to my eyes. Sometimes it is easy for us to forget that every new mother and baby are not so lucky in life as many of us have been.
Bless you, SuziC, for the wonderful work you are doing. You have inspired me to get to work on this huge stack of scraps I have. |
and that Very Special Message will be rewarded so many times over in things and places and peoples hearts that you will never know. You know who posts tiny little stars for each good thing we do... your sky will be covered.
