This is a quilt I made to be donated along with 53 other quilts to veterans on the Saturday before Memorial Day. The Mountain Piecemakers has done this for the last 3 years in Western N.C. |

The design reminds me or propellers -- maybe it will go to a former pilot?

Thanks o everyone for all the nice things you have said about the quilt. The pattern is called round and round. It uses circles cut in half and placed on squares. The circles were faced with stabiler. The instructions said to use the same fabric, but I found that it was too heavy since 4 squares have to be sewn together to make a block. Dryer sheets would have been even better, but I didn't have any. I got the pattern a few years ago when I went to a Linus Tea in Ashecille. It was a freebie and I don't know the designer.
