You know that what you put out there comes back to you many times over. What a blessed person you always be.

Wow! You did the lion's share on that occasion. Thank you for your "service" to those veterans. You deserve to take a bow. Thank you for the photos, too.

WOW! you have been very busy. THANK YOU and your Church congregation for honoring and recognizing some of our most amazing citizens those special people who have given their all for all of us, we owe them so much more and will never really be able to pay them enough for their service to this country and each of us. DH and I were in a nearby town on Wed. grabbing a quick bite at Furr's before heading home, and they were also honoring Vets. There were three older gentlemen WWII vets and possibly one was from the Korean war, sitting at a nearby table. All I could do was thank them for serving. The sparkle in their eyes and emotion in their voices when I thanked them was very heart warming. I make an effort to personally thank all I see in uniform and ones I know that have served us. I just feel like that is the very least I can do-many are caught by surprise when I tell them thank you, I guess because they don't always hear someone tell them thanks for their service. I have no living service members in my family, but I so appreciate all that have given their time to our country.

This is some of the pictures taken. I am not very good at uploading pictures but here is some of them. Thanks everyone for the kind comments. My blessings came from watching each of these Veterans accept their quilts.

What a fantastic celebration of veterans!

M. Elizabeth. If you are still on the board, you can submit a request for a Quilt of Valor for your son via (I think) www.qov.com or www.qov.org. It's the quilts of valor foundation.

Wow! I can't imagine making that many for vets - but it is a wonderful thing. My son served twice in Afghanistan and came back with a serious case of PTSD. He would be thrilled if he were recognized in this way.

Please do so....he should be recognized. Thanks!

My quiltmguild has just started doing this. This will be the third year. We have given away almost 100 quilts so far. Thisnevent takes place the Saturday before Memorial Day. We (the town) call it Hero Day and it is an all day event with music, food, games for the kids, and giving away quilts. Yours are beautiful.

BrendaK 02-25-2016 03:38 PM

GOD bless you and the other quilt makers. From what I could tell from the pictures they loved them. We don't thank and praise them enough. BrendaK

You are a generous person, loving the veterans and quilting. My DH and I received a wall hanging when our son was doing 2 deployments in Afgan. It was for the family of the soldier while he was gone...When he got home, I explained the note and quilt to him and gave it to him...

southernmema 02-28-2016 10:27 AM

Thank you for your fabulous gift of love to those vets and thank the vets for their service! Both are much appreciated!
