Did the stamping for the embroidery come out when you washed it? I stopped doing the stamped cross-stitch because I didn't like seeing the blue markings. I cherish the pillowcases I have that had been hand embroidered by great-aunts and grandmothers. No wonder you didn't want to give it away! Great work!

Glad to hear that you were able to locate the pattern. I haven't washed it yet. I know some people say you should wash your material before making the quilts but others say they don't. I didn't want to have it look like a used quilt before I made the it so I haven't washed mine yet. But when I do, I will be sure to wash it in cold water. Are you anywhere need Romeo, MI?
