memories for me too...i loved hanging out diapers when wind blowing...love fresh clothes..... :lol:

My mother and grandmother always had a clothes pin bag hanging along the basement steps, ready for wash day. A funny story happened when we asked our son, about ten years old, to hang out the clothes we had just washed in Grandmother's wringer washer. When he finished, we noticed there were still clothes in the basket. Why? He was sure we didn't want to hang our undies out on the line so all the neighbors could see them!!

OMG! Remwmber those days when our "undies" were hung inside and the sheets outside so no one could see our underwear? Now the girls hang their thongs out on the balcony to dry (or advertize).

I have a clothespin bag that my mother in law made me years ago, it is a little dress. When our daughter got married, she made her one as well. Her DH wouldn't reach into the little girls dress to get the clothespins out. He said something just wasn't right about that! We all got a good laugh. Still think of it when I get clothes pins out to hang up the laundry.
