While my hubby was at a grocery store last Friday, I visited the Habitat for Humanity Resale/Restore place and found the following beauties:
Singer gear driven sewing machine in a cabinet (Birth date 3/27/50). In fab condition- I paid $10!!! White # 77-165717. I paid $25!!! I cannot find dating for this serial number on the web. I would love to know if anyone knows the site. It has a black crinkle finish and once I cleaned it up a bit it sewed! I have to mess with the stitch length to get a better feel for how to do this. It has 2 dials for the stitch length. Here are the pictures! I named the White Lucy after my golden retriever because the cabinet is blond. The Singer will be Ruby after my other golden because she is more reddish! It was a great find! Ruby Tuesday Lucy Mae |

Thanks so much! I just emailed them. Do you have any tips on setting the stitch length? Right now all I can manage to get is about 15-20 per inch. It sews very straight!
