Vintage Star by Charisma

4 Attachment(s)
I made this star from vintage sheets.
It's a free pattern on a blog called: In Color Order. ( I am not affiliated..just want to give you the info)
I also bought the vintage sheets off of etsy. Except for my background sheet and my backing sheets. :)
It was quick and fun to put together...I wanted a simple quilting design because this is meant to be a comfy quilt. I used a cotton batting so that after it's bound I will wash & dry it so it gets the crinkly vintage look.
Thanks so much for looking!
Blessings

Thanks so much for telling us where you got the pattern. It's simple, but really nice looking.

AngeliaNR 10-16-2013 10:47 AM

Beautiful, snuggly looking quilt.

I often see vintage sheets for sale, but many times they are the same pattern I have on my bed! Some of the sheets I use are over 30 years old. :)

I made that same star in flannel last week--it isn't quite done yet, but I really like the pattern.

Very nice. I didn't know sheets had such pretty prints, guess I only look for solids.

solstice3 10-17-2013 12:50 PM

Wow you are on a roll. Thanks for the link

brendadawg 10-17-2013 12:54 PM

Beautiful, as always. I think I had some of those sheets in my younger days -- guess that makes me vintage and not just old!

MargeD 10-17-2013 02:06 PM

I love any star quilt and this is lovely.

madamekelly 10-17-2013 02:48 PM

Charisma you have inspired me again. I have a collection of flannel for MY 'snuggly blanket' and was having trouble finding a pattern that was easy and spectacular to use since it will be my first flannel. This is it! I gotta go get started! Wait, oh dang it!, I can not start until the torn ligaments in my shoulder heal...drool....
Your quilt is very spring pretty.

redquilter 10-17-2013 02:51 PM

Love it!!!!!!!!!!

TnBecky 10-17-2013 02:59 PM
