Beautiful job! Sometimes we have to do what we can just to preserve it and make it what it was intended to be. A quilt to use and love.

What great work you did. That is a special quilt. I would love to have something like that.

Under your careful ministrations, it will be ready for a new life. That was certainly worth your efforts. Very pretty.

This is a good question. Since it has so many flaws, a few small stains, and the top fabric is still somewhat fragile, it won't be donated as a comfort quilt. I washed it after binding and it didn't fall apart, so that's good, but I don't think it should be handled a lot. For now I'm just going to hang it on the balcony railing (inside) and admire the vintage fabrics and design. Later on it may find another home. At least it's not shut away in a box anymore.

Sounds like a plan. It is too pretty to hide away somewhere.

Looks gorgeous and you did a wonderful job on it. I like hanging it on the balcony and just looking at it. Fragile quilts should not be used. Just the way I think.
