Gurrrrr! Between our local internet problems, (rain, rain, and more rain, underground cables) and the bugs in the new QB server, I'm a disgruntled camper. The manual with this jewel says Singer 25 with a copyright date of 1973. There is Nothing in the book, other than the copyright info, except illustrations. Information is sketchy on these Chinese clones, more info is available on the ones from Japan. Without the typical "birthday plate" it can't be dated via the Singer site, ismac, or our other run to's. There is an aluminum plate on the underside with an NL-K number. but time marches on, and I have other things to do. For all practical purposes, we'll just have to celebrate Virginia's birthday on the day she came to live with us, which will be 28 March 2011. She may be and older lady, certainly not a true vintage, but don't we all want to adjust our birth dates from time? LOL

Anyway, Tuxi and I appreciate your comments. We are happy to have this lovely lady in our presence. I am certain the 4-H'ers will have heated discussions as to who gets to use this beauty. I'll have to set up a straw pull or lottery. Calli, the other kat, showed no interest. Obviously, she feels upstaged. :-(

It is a modern Chinese reproduction of the classic Singer 15. Not old, I've seen them selling on Ebay...

Very pretty, hope you enjoy sewing on it!

Wow she is a real beauty .Have you test driven her yet? If she is anything like my 15-91 she is a little speed demon that runs smooth and quiet.

Beautiful machine. I don't think the cabinet will matter in this case, the machine will take the spotlight! AND, it's been inspected by your quilt inspecter. Doesn't get much better.

Wow! the enamel designs and the Sphinx and all that are worth the price. Gorgeous pictures, bet she's even prettier in person.
