Hello, I posted a quilt a month or so ago I got from my cousin who had passed away from cancer. It was a kit & I posted it. Well this is a wall hanging she started. I put the borders on, quilted it, and put the binding on. I washed it and it is now hanging in my sewing room. It means a lot to me and is very special. I sure hope she likes what I did. She did all the hard work, I just finished it. Hope you enjoy. Thanks

I have a similar project to finish for a dear friend: She was making a buzz light year quilt for her grandsons, and died from complications from breast CA before she could finish it. I cared for her the last few weeks, and she asked me to finish it for the boys. Been too painful so far...but need to get on it soon or they will be too old to enjoy.

What is the last photo? Looks like a quilt with chenille....really nice. Please post it when finished and let me know how that worked out. Never tried adding chenille except in a baby quilt.

The wallhanging is beautiful and I'm happy that you have a reminder of her that you can admire every day. I never cared much for purple until I started quilting, but it is one of my favorites now.

So happy for you ! My sister passed before I got a quilt from her but the family wanted me to have her machine. That's when I started quilting. Unfortunetely it was wearing out and no parts available now , but I have a new "sister" machine now that she would have loved ! Was sorry all her feet etc did not work for the new one though ! Very special to have. Like what you are working on in the next pic too.
