Wall hanging

I would like your opinion on this ? Should I make it a door hanging or should I make it into a quilt? Please any suggestions would be appreciated. This picture is not very good.

I think a door hanging would be great! It appears to be long and skinny and would fit perfectly on a door. It's a very cute Halloween panel!

nygal 08-08-2012 06:53 AM

Can't you make it a two in one? A quilted door hanging? The fabric would have more body that way and probably last longer too.

I would go for door hanging! Not sure how much Haloween I would want on my bed.

QuiltE 08-08-2012 09:24 AM

Where would YOU get the most enjoyment from it?
on the door? on the bed? or?

For me, I think I'd enjoy it on the wall or door more.

Also ... from the pic, it looks larger than most doors.
What size is it?
Is it a printed fabric panel?

I agree with nygal.

yes a door hanging. measure your door and see if it would fit without too much trimming. or if you have Halloween parties maybe a wall hanging near the door would work well.
i made this skinny one from a magazine a couple or more years ago.

It would make a wonderful door hanging;

A wall hanging would be nice. Please post a photo of your finished product.

Looks like a great door hanging

pollyjvan9 08-09-2012 05:42 AM

I would definitely make a door hanging out of it because I often change out quilts on my west facing door to keep the sun out.

It's a cute panel.
If it's a narrow panel a door panel would be good.
It depends on the size but personally...with the 'Welcome' word on it, I'd go with door panel.

Tashana 08-09-2012 07:34 AM

Well, you can go either way, but I would probably go with door hanging. If I am not mistaken, I see a word Welcome on the lower right of the panel.

thimblebug6000 08-09-2012 07:35 AM

What size is the panel?

OKLAHOMA PEACH 08-09-2012 07:36 AM

I like the idea of a door panel, a great focal point.

Tartan 08-09-2012 07:39 AM

I vote for door hanging.

Brandi 08-10-2012 03:43 AM

Yes it is long and would cover a door.. It is a printed fabric panel.

Brandi 08-10-2012 03:45 AM

This is very cute.

I have done many of these, holiday, super hero, etc and made them into small quilts for children and grandchildren. They LOVE them and use them for covers and tents and car blankets. I LOVE to see them used and loved and know that they will have fond memories of quilts throughout their lives. You could make it into a small quilt with a strip on the back to hang if desired. Happy Quilting... I was thinking yesterday that I need to dig into my Halloween fabrics!

Since it has welcome on it, I would make it a door hanger.

Jill B 08-18-2012 04:49 PM

I agree with nygal too. And please post a photo when it's finished :)

Jammin' Jane 11-08-2012 10:06 AM
