Nope, not a quilt, but these are some embroidered towels I made for family members who will be golfing together to celebrate my FIL's 89th birthday with him. I made 15 of them.

Wow! Those are so cute. Do they know they are getting them?

Those are very nice! I really like them. 31 July is my Anniversary!!! When you embroider on towels, do you use water soluble stabilizer on the front or tulle or something to keep the stitches from sinking into the fibers of the towel? I read once to use tulle?? Your work looks really REALLY good! What did you use on the back, tear-away or cut-away or something different?

Now that's perfect--for the guy who has everything--and so incredibly special. Perfect.

Thanks. I don't know if they know they are getting them or not. Last year I did hats and this year towels. I put a grommet in the upper right corner too, so they can hang it on their golf bags.

ButtercreamCakeArtist, I put a small piece of tearaway on the back where the golf ball is (because the design is so dense) and 2 layers of WSS (I use either H2gone or aqua mesh) on the back. I used 1 layer of the WSS on the top too. BTW, Happy Anniversary early.

I have used tulle before, but these are pretty thick towels and they turned out just fine.

I prewashed the towel 1st, then washed them again afterwards.

That is so cool and nothing beats a homemade gift.
