Nice choices - I like the ergonomic seam ripper, too - easier on the hands.

I love Connecting Threads. You got some nice stuff. Happy quilting. I working on a quilt I got from there right now.
VERRY YUMMY   |
Gorgeous fabrics :D
|
wow! I looks like you bought them out. Isn't it fun? I like the colors..... :D :D :D a bit of everything
|
Wow such lovely fabrics....would you mind if I asked a personal question......approximately how much do you pay for a yard of fabric in the states on average???
Here in Spain we pay about 12-18 euros per yard, I think that is expensive, would you mind disclosing what you have to pay over the pond, so I can be even more envious of all your lovely patchwork shops!!  :) |

Sandpat, color me green with envy. I love all the fabrics you chose! Especially the ones with the little stars. |
 HOLY COW! WHAT A HAUL!
|

I'm hopefully going to do the "window" with the one I get....IF I EVER get it! |
:D :D :D The fabrics were sampler packs of fat quarters in their clearance section-- just a bit over $1.00 each which I thought was a real bargain!
At my regular "quilt" shop (it isn't...its just a Bernina dealer with some nice quality fabric), a yard will usually go for $8.95-$9.95 for their "better" quality. They don't have many sales..I shop there some to support them and hope that they will stay open. Its the only nice quality fabric store within 1 hour driving distance for me  But...I DO LOVE to shop on the internet!! |
WoW!!! How much of each one is there? Soooo pretty!!
Oh! I just read your comment above. What fun you'll have with those!! When you make something with them, start the post with "Remember those fat quarters...." :D |
:D :D Ya'll must think I'm very wealthy LOL, LOL!!! There is just a fat quarter of each fabric...really its just 2 FQ sampler packs. The whole order was only 53 bucks and it came with Free shipping!!
|
You must be RICH! I only spent $32 today.
I LOVE what I got. It was in my hands last time I went to this shop, but I put it back--so I went back in today and got it with 2 solids to match! I have to stop taking girlfriends to this place. |
Cool...and good for you!!
|
Lovely, lovely, lovely!!!
|
What beautiful fabrics you got. Just got an order from them for their thread, love it and the price can't be beat. Now to decide what to make!
|
Love the colors and designs of those fat quarters. Fabric shopping is addictive (whether in person or on the net!!) Went to a new quilt shop on Saturday in Louisianna, MO with my hubby, he is very indulgent of me and quilting. In fact I usually spend more $$ when he is around. He is very good at coordinating colors and will tell me to get plenty to make a quilt. I would be happy with a 1/2 yard or so but I usually buy 2-3 yards if I really like it as well in case it might be used for a border. I really am the lucky one!!!
|
Beautiful fabric! Sometimes I just get mesmerized looking at them! I just wish there was some way to have a "screen saver" for the back of my eyelids so I can look at whole roomfuls, close ups or quilts at my leisure!

Your fabrics are beautiful. I just got their new catalog and was admiring some things in it. After seeing what you bought, I think I'll send in an order. Thanks for making up my mind for me! Have fun with your new stash.

Joy oh day, I love the fabrics in the first photo, those are my kind of fabrics.
But I must say that the Connecting Threads are my favorite by far..... 1200yds to a spool of 100% Egyptian Long Staple Cotton, no lint, no fuzz no knots.... I could do a commercial for them! Every quilt board I go to I sing the praises of Connecting Threads Essential threads.... and when you buy the sets they run under $16 for 10 spools. Geesh, other quality threads run $8 a spool! You did great! sue |
