Hi Carol,

To do the text I typed it out in a nice font and sized and spaced it, then printed it. Then I used my glass coffee table as a light table by shining a lamp up from under it. I put the printed text down, and then the blank block on top, centering it. Using a permanent fabric pen I then traced the text, sticking as close to the font as I could. Don't forget those pens have to be heat set, so be sure to press a hot iron over the writing before you put the quilt together.

That's the way I do it....

What a wonderful thing to do for a friend who is probably feeling a bit lost right now -- each time she wraps up in it, she will feel like she's receiving a hug from one of her friends.....
