Another one of my subdued color projects! :D These blocks have been so much fun. Very liberating and easy! Here's the tutorial I used: http://bumblebeans.blogspot.com/2009...anna-play.html
Some wild stuff, huh? |
Yeah, Chele, next time you might try to use more color....  I have studied that and it really does look like it would be fun! I have a few scraps I could use. Thanks for the link.

Chele, I don't want to hi-jack your thread - but I love that blog where you got that tutorial (and yours as well!). Do you know of any other good quilting blogs? I love blogs - but haven't found many quilting ones that are updated regularly.
|
Bluedande, here are some of my favorite quilt blogs to get you started! Don't waste your entire day reading blogs like I do! There are some talented quilters out there!

Love the colors, Chele. For future reference, white, black and brown are colors, too!   Seriously, I like the quilt. :D
|
I don't think it's bright enough. Maybe some vivid purples or something!!!
Seriously, that's a fun quilt!!! |
Oh my -- love all the color!! How did you keep from getting dizzy when you worked on it?
|
I love the bright vibrant colors. And those blocks would be fun to do.
|
Love the colors. I alter the rail fence all the time. A fave.
I think your quilt is kin to a pillowcase I just finished (with 3 *orange* Valori Wells fabrics). Be sure to check out the Gee's Bend style patterns. They're coming out soon. http://www.abcsofquilting.com/featured_products.html The examples show straight edges and binding but they could be made wonkier like the real deal. |
yes but i like it, I'm a colorful person.....great job

Really neat. Somebody will want to body-surf on it.
|
all I can say is... ACID GREEN!!! yep.. that's the only thing I could think to add. Maybe you could use that to bind it!!
I LOVE this as I am a devotee of pastels also... ideas, ideas.. thanks for sharing. |
Chele--GREAT QUILT!!! You did an awesome job and it looks like so much fun. It is hard to believe that the same person who made the quilt in your avatar is the same person who made this quilt---you are definitely versatile!!
Thanks for the links to the blogs too---I am going to enjoy them. |
I really like the feel of that, very uplifting!! I can see how it could be liberating.
|
Wow Chele
Love these blocks - however I have one complaint the colours are a little dull LOL  Great job !!!! Tisha |
