Candi, it is a beautiful work of art and you did an amazing job with it. I have been quilting for many years and I can find mistakes or things I don't like it every quilt I do. Just reasently I was putting together the Sharman's Vintage Garden quilt that I have been working on for 7 months, the center medallion block has about 40 hours of embroidery on it, well....wouldn't ya know I cut the darn thing a half inch to small all of the way around. I wasn't about to re-do it so I just made the block sashing bigger to compensate. This is one of the embroidery quilts I teach so had a contest for my class to find the "big mistake", the winner got a gift cert., but she had to identify the mistake and tell what I did to compensate for it. It took them a while to figure it out, but we did have a winner. So, the moral of this long story is, you will always have something you did wrong or would have changed in every quilt so make a note of it, either on the pattern or in your quilt journal for the next time. Future projects will be better but if you are like me, never as perfect as we would like. BTW there is a free Quilter's Journal that you can print on the HP website, I would encourage you to start one.

It's official, "Your a bonified quilter!"

Hugs, Gail

I can't take credit for that label. Gail-r on the board here made it for me. Isn't pretty?

Thanks all for the kind comments. It is great to have all of your support.

Gail,
I have to say, even though I am generally a perfectionist in other arenas in my life, in quilting I am not so much. I do try to make it as good as I can make it, but I feel it is such a new skill for me that I just try to learn from mistakes and make it as good as I can. I love the quilter's journal idea, I'll have to go check it out. Again, thanks a bunch for the label :)

Great job - it's beautiful. I bought one of her kits (kitty laying on a quilt) several years ago and I even forgot I had it until I say your post. Maybe I'll get it out after I finish several of my works in progress.
