This last set of pics is from the last quilt in the Bed Turning. It was just stunning, made in about 1850. Using a compass rose pattern, however, note that the rose is not based on 8 points, but 10!

Green color has probably faded, but the quilting group is fairly certain that the maker created her own pattern because of the 10 points. And the quilting itself is just stunning.

One more pic of the antique quilt, I was trying to get a good picture of the quilting.

This was the first quilt show that I had attended in years. I really enjoyed it, and hope everyone can see the pics ok. I took them with my phone.

I thought it was a really good show, and I took pics of about half or less of the quilts on display. I was really amazed by all the great quilts there. And those minis! So tiny! Compare them to the safety pins holding the voting numbers on. Wow.

Yes, I really liked that one myself. Then the next day I found the pattern in a pattern book that I already had! It is in "The Big Book of Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts" by Pam Bono.
