Wedding gift
1 Attachment(s)
Our grandson is getting married in October. I have their gift done way early but that's OK. I made this Log Cabin quilt for them. It is 112 by 112 inches, machine pieced, and machine quilted. It is just a collection of black and white fat quarters with red dot in the center and the binding. I made 2 borders black and 2 borders white to keep in the log cabin look...and also because I had just enough fabric left for 2 borders each. I hope they like it.

I can see why you started early: huge quilt with a lot of work. It came out lovely and they will be blown away by your generosity and talent. Beautiful.

Beautiful! What a fantastic quilt in my favourite colours! Who wouldn't love such a generous gift. You did a wonderful job and one less thing to worry about before the wedding!

I love your quilt! particularly the borders!!

 Wow, they are going to love it! When you say machine quilted, did you quilt it on your domestic sewing machine?
Its great you have it ready so early. |
What a neat idea to use the two different borders. It makes sense and adds personality to the quilt.
|
I must have missed this when you first posted it. I'm glad the post got revived, because it's a gorgeous quilt. I also like the border treatment.
|
That's a gorgeous quilt, Mary! A winner, for sure.
|
I love it. I am a big fan of log cabin quilts. I have one on my bed right now.
