wedding quilt-13 months late

It's not my fault.....My daughter wanted to make a quilt for her best friend's wedding. She picked out the pattern, bought the fabric, and then it sat. When I visited her in Texas, I found it in the closet and offered to cut it out for her. She whined about wanting to do it herself....then gave in to me and let me cut it out. I left Texas and she sewed the top together. Then life got in the way, she moved to Virginia, to be near me (I got cancer and muscular dystrophy so I am going down fast to be bedridden), then she got pregnant with 3rd baby, then had the baby. So guess who had to add the boarders, the binding, cut the batting, sew the backing and do the quilting (which I paid my friend to do for us on the LA)? That would be me. So the fact that it is late is not my fault. Anyway, wanted to share the quilt with my friends on the QB before it is mailed off to Bride and Groom. And there was an earlier thread about a late wedding quilt and I wanted her to know that she is not alone in her predicament. Please enjoy before it is shipped off:

Very pretty. Your daughter is fortunate you pushed and got it done.

Lovely quilt really like the pattern and colours. Good for you being able to achieve so much with your health problems.

I always heard that, etiquette-wise, you have a year to deliver a wedding present. So your quilt is only a month late! I was about that late with my own son's wedding quilt, because I just couldn't decide what they might like (and they didn't know either!). Your quilt is lovely and I'm sure the couple will welcome it!

It is absolutely beautiful. Good things are worth the wait!
