Wedding quilt finished

I had asked for ideas a while back for a quilt for a wedding gift for an artist friend. Here's what I came up with. I adapted it from a throw size pattern-Champagne from Villa Rosa designs. It was a very easy pattern to enlarge to a queen sized quilt, went very fast. All strip pieced in sections. The fabric is from a collection called Green Tea and Iced Mocha from Buggy Barn for Henry Glass. My local LAQ guided me. I bought one half yard of every color she had, and started cutting. Love the muted green, blue and brown strips. I used my hoop on the Janome to quilt simple flowers and leaves, then free quilted machine sewed stems and loops. I stitched in the ditch on the side strips, then machine quilted a decorative design out the middle of the strips. I wanted something non traditional for this quilt. Hope you like it.
