Oh! so pretty. Too bad the recipient didn't understand the HUGE time committment and love that went into making the quilt and how TINY a time committment would be to write a short thank you. Oh! well, now you know NOT to do it again when the next gift giving occassion comes up. I'm sorry. I'll thank you for herl.

Thank You's are obsolete. We are the older generation and were taught manners.

Oh my - I can't imagine her not saying thank you sooooo much. I have made it a point with my granddaughter to TEACH HER to do thank you notes or call and personally thank people who give her things that are special. We are just letting those things pass by without saying anything - that's why so many of them are so unappreciative. Well, it certainly was a beautiful quilt. I think that might be the ONLY one she gets, what do you think?

My DIL sent thank you's out after the wedding....Several months later! But NOTHING after the baby shower that a lit of our church friends attended, I was SO EMBARRASSED!....my aunt crocheted an afghan, mom made a quilt!...nothing! I just hope they don't remember that when my daughter gets married! She is SO not like that, she sends cards and appreciates homemade things because living with me, and being around my mom, she sees how much work goes into them. Your quilt is amazing by the way!

That is beautiful! I know how you feel. I think you just have to let it go and not let it discourage you from giving to others.
