Wedding Quilt

This is the disappearing 9 patch quilt I made as a signature quilt for my niece's wedding yesterday. Guests signed the rectangular blocks. The bride loved the quilt and the guests were enthusiastic.

You're so modest . . . of course they would be enthusiastic over such a lovely quilt and such a great gift!
Beautiful! And, such a good idea for the guests to sign it. It will be treasured by the happy couple!
Beautiful quilt and a great idea. Your niece will treasure it always. Thank you for sharing.

Great signature quilt!
Very nice!
What an awesome idea and great quilt! What kind of pen did you have them sign with?
I love it when they get not only a beautiful quilt but make great memories of their special day
Great quilt and what a precious gift!
It’s so pretty, love all the bright colors.

I used Royal & Langnickel Nano-Liner Drawing Pens in black and blue, size 5. I bought a 4 pack on Amazon that had 4 colors for about $11. I tested them on laundered fabric (no fabric softener) and the red and green ones faded and washed out. The blue one and black ones did equally well whether I heat set them or not. I will definitely use them for future projects. Thanks for all your positive comments!

Beautiful quilt and what a great idea for a signature quilt. It will be a treasure for years to come

Love the idea of signing an already complete quilt. It eliminates the problem of having guests sign too big for the block. It also lets guests be aware of this is permanent. Great quilt too!

What a thoughtful and wonderful way to commemorate their wedding day. It is a lovely D9P ...now with autographs.
A great wedding gift, one to be treasured forever!

Thanks, everyone. It was such a pleasure to make and give. The bride loved it! I wanted it to be done when she saw it, not a bunch of squares that might not be centered or have a good seam allowance. I quilted in the ditch on all the pieces, then diagonally through all the small and larger squares. The rectangles to be signed have no quilting within them so were easy to sign with the batting being Hobbs 80-20 and relatively flat.

Nice D9P quilt.
Wonderful idea! I know your niece will always treasure it. Just beautiful
