Go see it at https://www.quiltfusion.com

Yes, it is the same pattern but if you take the time to read anything on the website, you will find that he designed the pattern.

What a great quilt and what a neat job on your appliques. Bet you had a fun time with all of those skinny tentacles.

salederer 09-10-2016 06:52 AM

Thank you! The backgrounds are batiks, but the pattern doesn't show up great in the photo... it's this fabric:

Ardelle Coult 09-10-2016 07:43 AM

Yes I did. Question is did he sew it and quilt it?

Yes. Designed, sewn and quilted (QAYG) on my crummy little shark intelli-sew machine I got at Target. Hopefully one day I can get a nicer machine, but for now that little beast is doing the job.

What a sweet quilt!

osewme 09-10-2016 08:00 AM

I'm so impressed with this quilt. I did not realize that you designed it until someone pointed it out to me. So that being said I now realized it was not a kit that you bought but your own original design & fabrics. I have found out over the years that it's not the sewing machine that makes a great quilter....it's the quilter themselves. A person can have a $10,000 machine but if you don't have that special quality/talent within yourself an expensive machine is not going to make you a phenomenal quilter. The little beast you are using seems to be meeting your needs.

That is one amazing quilt. I'm a beginner and in absolute awe of your talent.

Good design choice putting some of the appliqué over the joining strips. Cool quilt.

This, your wall hanging, is the best children's quilt I have ever seen. Your choice of fabrics and sewing totally compliment your work. Lovely, charming, wow.

I totally agree with this except for the part about the best "children's quilt" because I would love it for myself and I am not a child anymore! Uncle Gravy you designed a wonderful quilt. Wonder if you could tell a bit about how you broke it down to QAYG. You quilted each block individually then put them together with sashing, right? Would you be able to show a photo of the back? Then I guess you had to quilt the border after having the main body of the quilt all finished? And as someone else mentioned, you may be using a little inexpensive machine but no one would ever guess that from looking at this quilt.

lindaschipper: No really, he is a guy with children even. He created QuiltFusion and designs and makes quilts. Really! You need to check out his website. It's listed under his postings.
