I think it is interesting and good that imagination is still a very useful "talent". This person surely has imagination. I love seeing what people can do with items that someone would just toss out. This may not be a cup of tea for all but it is a piece to look at and perhaps wonder. Send more of this work.

raptureready 10-02-2010 05:56 AM

Looks very similar to DD's bed but I don't think her's are sewn together. LOL

mimee4 10-02-2010 05:56 AM

There are many teens who would just love that quilt. It would be a holding place for the rest of the closet of clothes. You'd never be able to decide what needs washing and what is just part of the "bed clothes".

Lizzytish 10-02-2010 05:58 AM

Before I read your message I thought this was a teenagers bed

Looks like my son's BED!

KarenBarnes 10-02-2010 09:27 AM

Looks like some of my kids floors as they were growing up! Doesn't work for me!

Twisted Quilter 10-02-2010 09:54 AM

Wow...Beats the heck out of cutting squares, but don't think I'll be making one any time soon.

mcar 10-02-2010 01:06 PM

Good concept. Congratulations to him for bringing quilting into a definitely guy theme. Nothing fussy about that quilt, but it must have been challenging to work the background in.

dettonlisas 10-02-2010 01:14 PM

Who is the artist? I think my nephew would LOVE this!! I wonder if there is a method/pattern avail...

GoBama 10-02-2010 02:36 PM

It would drive me insane too.

Ditto!

I hardly know what to say. I agree it would make me nuts and it does look an awful lot like a guy's dorm room floor... The old smell and see which ones are clean before they wear it.

MistyMarie 10-02-2010 03:32 PM

I think it works BECAUSE the rest of the room is clean. Otherwise, it would not look like a creative work... just a mess.

Cute but it would drive me bonkers. It indeed looks like the bed of some of my teens.

michellee 10-02-2010 03:34 PM

my daughter's room used to look like that...and it wasn't a quilt..i should of thought to sew everything together..lol

I suppose this might be great for a teenager's room ... maybe?

Dee 10-02-2010 06:01 PM

It doesn't do a thing for me. My opinion.

bjnicholson 10-02-2010 06:06 PM

Maybe if he used different colors...?

galvestonangel 10-02-2010 07:17 PM

I think it is very creative recycling. I don't know if I could handle it on one of my beds, I am in the simplify mode.

jljack 10-02-2010 08:14 PM

I see the shirt.. kinda cool but yes looks too messy for my taste.

Sheree from Chicago 10-02-2010 08:43 PM

dljennings 10-03-2010 06:16 AM

looks like dd room.. and that drives me out of my mind... if she sees this she will make one!

Lyn4ty 10-03-2010 07:39 AM

looks like my son's bed, floor and everywhere! Interesting idea, but would drive me crazy, LOL!

quilterken 10-03-2010 07:57 AM

Now that is a different quilt... nuff said.

angieh1964 10-03-2010 10:50 AM

Kids would probably love quilts and rugs made like this!!

Yeh, you wouldn't be able to tell the clothes from the quilt, and they'd say something like : 'don't freak mum its just the quilt'. Wheit finally got too heavy they might learn to put their clothes in the laundry - think! -- not

earthwalker 10-03-2010 10:01 PM

I love it...makes my current WIP look almost normal (I am making a quilt out of discarded clothes and remnants).

ScubaK 10-03-2010 11:37 PM

I see the shirt...
but to me, "bed clothes" meant the sheets, comforter and pillows...
My Mother said, "Straighten your bedclothes". Don't really know where this came from...???
Also, "tangled in the bed clothes (meaning restless sleep)

Would drive me crazy too, but it would look right at home in my house.(sometimes)

tdgiffin 10-04-2010 04:58 AM

That would be a great way to disguise the mess on my kids' beds...LOL!

noveltyjunkie 10-04-2010 05:24 AM

Could be a good gift to a young adult whom you hoped to encourage to remain celebate. Once any prospective partner saw that they were expected to sleep with used pink underpants right in their face, the passion would leave the bedroom immediately.

grannypat7925 10-04-2010 08:09 AM

Looks like he threw his clothes on the bed and then stitched them to the blanket. Not my kind of art but if it makes him happy he can have it!

mayday 10-05-2010 11:44 PM

certainly not my bag but would be warm without much effort if you can cope with the look!!
