Beautiful quilt, colors are great.

Beautiful quilt, pattern and colors. I too would have had to fix it.
It's a very beautiful quilt - great job.

There is something about a photograph that shows a mistake, I don't know what it is about that process??? I made a quilt for friends in Colorado who lost so much in the floods in September and I gave them my new 'favorite quilt' that I'd just finished, I was going to keep it for myself.
Before we sent it to them I wanted some pictures for my quilt diary and there it was as clear as day... it had already been quilted, bound so no way to correct. Now if I can just keep my mouth shut and not point out what is so obvious to me as they may never see. (At least that is what the LA lady and DH said, "They'll probably never see it.") Your Bargello is gorgeous, I love the colors of your batiks.... |
Well, aren't you glad you found the mistake BEFORE it went to the quilter?? I quilted my Aurora Borealis from the book Twist and Turn Bargello. It took me moths before I saw it. Fortunately it blends in with the rest of the quilt.
Sure is pretty and glad you could fix it!
Really nice. Try taking a pic on your phone next time. For some reason or another it helps to see those booboos
Beautiful!!! Love bargellos. My screw up was a Christmas wall hanging. Quilted down to the last 6". Found that I had reversed a couple of squares. Took it off the frame, removed enough quilting that I could remove the pieces and put them in their proper place, reload the quilt, and finish it. I think that taking pics should be part of the process before you quilt it.

Your quilt is beautiful!
nope, can't find it.
Think of it this way: Look at all the blocks you did right! |
Gorgeous quilt!
Barb your quilt is lovely the way it is... but you could use fabric paint on that one square to make it blend in and be less noticeable. the paint will dry soft and is washable, too. Just a thought.
Awesome job. Thanks for showing it.
wow love your colors it beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like many other, I see no mistake. It is gorgeous.
Thanks for the suggestions. I had to rip it out because it wasn't just one square it was 12 because I had strip pieced so it was a whole line of pieces. It is all fixed and ready for the quilter.

Beautiful....Love it...

And WHY are the mistakes we make ALWAYS right in the center of whatever it is we're making and NEVER on the edge?
What mistake? I just see beauty!
Doesn't that just drive you crazy!? I have had that happen more than once. Glad you were able to fix it. It sure is a pretty quilt.
It's very beautiful!
That's beautiful! I hope to some day do a Bargello - it looks hard!
Maybe a little tea dying for that one light fabric square to darken it up a bit???
It's beautiful!
It's absolutely beautiful. I love the colors. Glad you caught the mistake in a picture. Funny how you can look at it over and over and not see it, but as soon as you take a picture, it JUMPS out!
It's very nice!
I'm sure all of make mistakes the first time . That's why they're called mistakes. I prefer the saying "anything worth doing is worth doing well. " It lets us be human.
