I bought the applique one. It is kind of dirty where they had it folded, I am hoping I can get it out. I think it is either 1930's or 40's. Hubby bought the double 9 patch. The lady that owned it thought it was 40-50 years old so that would make it 1950's or 60's. I am not good with recognizing that era of fabric. Notice the partial blocks on the far left side!
Anyway I am pleased with them!!!! :D |
so pretty! I love the applique one!

The Rose of Sharon is really cute, and looks well stitched. The other one is quirky and your DH will love it for what it is.

I'm crazy about the qpplique one! Great score!

Pretty quilts. Interesting way to finish a 9 patch. The Rose of Sharon looks fresh!

I love them.

Beautiful quilts, I like them both!

Yes, the applique looks like a 30s. The shade is actually called "That Green"
Love it! The nine patch is so cool! I will have to make that sometime... |
Ooh Melissa
Those are beauties - no good asking me either regarding being able to date them  I adore the applique one, the colours are lovely. My cousin lives in the NE of England & seems to have the luck of the gods on her side. She manages to pick up a quilt in the charity shops over here quite often, we don't get them in my area. So good on ya - hope you manage to get the stains out where it's been folded. Tisha |
I know! some people are so lucky at finding these things!!!!! This is unusual for me!!!! Only had 2 other people bidding against me. I was going to quit bidding at one point but hubby said go for it!!!! :D :D
