Thank you.
I actually made that light green a bit darker. |
Henry, what a fabulous buy! Love how it's coming along...everyone has had some fantastic suggestions. You could stitch in a few seed beads to give a little extra dimension, and maybe some highlights with metallic thread. Anyway, whatever you do it will be just beautiful.
About framing...try, if you can, to get it professionally done, by someone who will take care to do it properly (acid free mats, not putting the glass too close, not using staples etc. etc.). After all, you are putting such a lot of time and artistry into the project. Can't wait to see more pics. |

Dont mess with them at all , first consult antique dealer who is knowlegeable and maybe try to have preserved and framed but only by someone who knows textiles. could be worth thousands of dollars. just my opinion betty
|
I'm going with the majority here.. color them.. they're pretty cool looking!!
|
I am sorry, I thought they were hand printed or embroidered, sorry Betty. Coloring would be nice. please accept my apology just didnt want to ruin something worth something. betty

Did one of the windows tonight... I am going to go over it with some fabric paint after Christmas. I realized I dont have any brown and a few other colors I want. I found a red, blue, silver and green one though in my craft bin.

Here is another update.

Looking good.

I think you are off to a fine start.
By the way, you can also color with regular Crayolas and iron set the results. I've done that on another similar project. You can blend the colors too. I was advised to only trust Crayolas. lots2do |

So I took the suggestion and colored it with Crayola crayons. I will now go back and continue to put in my stitching along the lines to give it a more 3D feel. We will see how it turns out. But here it is colored.
