you'd never know it was giving you so much trouble - the finished product is stunning. |
I'd never own up to those problems except to friends here that I knew would understand. I think we've all had some block size issues along the way. This is not an original solution. I don't remember where I originally saw this idea but it's an excellent solution. Relieves a lot of stress, let me tell you.
Nanabirdmo, There was a time I would have tossed the whole lot over to you. :D Too kind of you to offer to send along a finished picture! Meanwhile, though, I've a daughter who's already laid claim to this thing. Sorry! Thank you all again :D |
Beautiful. No on would ever know you had issues, unless you tell them!!

What a great idea for making bolcks fit together.
Note to self: ALWAYS have plenty of extra background fabric - and keep it with the UFO it belongs to, so I don't use it up on another . . . errrrr potential UFO. |

The ripening process worked!!! Great job, great quilt, I haven't seen many sampler quilts in bright colors, yours is beautiful.

Your quilt top is really beautiful.....sure cannot tell you had problems

What a beautiful quilt and what a great solution. I quite often have to put things away for a while (sometimes a LONG while) and come back to them and they tell me what to do to fix them :). I'll definitely keep this tip in mind :) Thanks.

Your quilt is really pretty! Thanks for sharing your solution to fixing off-sized blocks. :)

I agree with everyone. It's a beautiful quilt, love the idea of the coping strips, it's cheerful and if you didn't mention your "issues" no one would ever know. It looks planned. Great job.
