I see a fabric stash, very colourful, very different.

My first thought was "empty scrap basket in a neat sewing room!" That is the practical side of me. The whimsical side said, "grasses though a rail fence".

It is a very lovely quilt. I am quite sure that your desired effect is there, particularly when you see the entire quilt spread out on a bed or hanging on a wall. With my weird sense of imagination I can see curtains being pulled to shut out the day or opened up to welcome the daylight.

Without looking at anyone else's response, I see a bookshelf with lot's of books! This is a beautiful quilt.
