Babies only see bright actually they see red and black the best. The quilt is darling you need to stop beating yourself up. You did a terrific job and it will surely be a cherish quilt to pass on. Great Job

It's perfect for a baby quilt! Babies need bright colors to spark their interest. The baby that gets this quilt will stay busy for hours. It's a great quilt & you did a great job on it.

I think I have looked at this too long! Ever do that look at something so much that you were excited about at first and when you get it done, you are not that excited about it? I made this top several months ago, and it just sat around waiting to be finished. Now that it is done, I can't decide that I like it or not! I thought I would give this to our youngest son and his wife, they are expecting their first baby in the fall.

You've done a very good job and should be pleased - but I know what you mean about finishing a quilt and not being excited - have one right now. I know the quilt is well done, the quilting is spot on, etc. In the end, it is the colors in the quilt for me - browns - I am not a brown person so I don't gravitate towards brown based quilts. I will take the appropriate pictures and ship it out and know that the owner likes browns and the quilt is right for them - not me. |
What is not to like? Bright happy colors and rainbows, it's wonderful. Great for a nursery or a hospital maternity ward wall hanging as well. Just a thought. I agree any newborn or small infant would be stimulated by the colors and shapes. You did great!!

thanks for all the great comments! I did wash the quilt and it crinkled so nicely. What a diffrence that can make. I am sure the baby will use it and enjoy the bright colors.
