I designed this pattern using EQ-6. The dark brown has a bark pattern and the light has animal feet prints on it. The autumn leave fabric has light yellows and orange with a little brown.
I like the pattern and would like your feed back so I can improve the next quilt I do using the same panels. I have another panel and would like some opinions. Thanks Black bear family |
Okay, here goes since you ask for opinions. And believe me, I am no designer! I like everything about your pattern except the middle where you have the cross sashes and the orange squares. Maybe bigger bark sashes to look more like trees in the foreground and some green in there as a background.

I love it just as it is. The way you laid the pics out and the 'fencing' is very catching. Besides I love the fall colors. Nice job.
|
Cool! Wish I had a computer program to help design quilts...but I'd probably play more than sew.
|
I really like it. The colors are laid out well and really compliment each other.
|
Looks nice. Personally I would add a little more green to it.
|
I would make the middle section a panorama, but that's just because I like scenes. But either way, it's a great, rustic quilt!!!

very nice

I really like it, especially the way you can see the depth of the small squares. The only thing I would do differently is rather than have both leaves going in the same direction, I would have them both facing inward. So, as you face the quilt, I would leave the leaf on the left as is and flip the leaf on the right to face the other leaf.

I think that it is just about perfect. You did a great job designing it. I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for sharing.

First let me say, your quilt is wonderful as it is. Since you asked for options, I will tell you what I would do different.
The center panel with the bear in the center. The light tan in the panels on either side of the bear panel...I would make the ones closest to the bear panel green. It would give the impression the panel extended into that area. The outside ones I would leave tan. I hope you can make sense of what I am saying! I also agree with turning the leaves to face each other. Be sure to show us what you come up with for the next one!! :-D  |
This is very nice.

Very eye catching! Great design!

First off you asked what I think and I think your quilt design is amazing. The only thing I would do different is add a little more green. It is beautiful.
|
Luv it

I think its lovely. Is it flannel?
|
I really like your design...but as you are asking for input - the leaf suggestion from the others is a good one - and somehow I think the framing around the smaller bear pics is getting lost with the leaves - that is the only thing I would perhaps change. As it stands, I love the subject and the design. It's very unique and showcases the bears and their environment beautifully.

I love anything and everything with bears. Your quilt is a beauty!

I love it the way it is & I think it would also look good with more green in it. Either way it is beautiful!
