I took this first large wall hanging to get quilted. Finished binding and poped it in the washer in cool water no soap.
Acouple of spots as you can see look like the thread bled. It was yellow thread!!! Why only 2 spots? I called the quilter right away and she wants to see it. Any guesses I/m glad its for me and going on the wall! Gale |
Thats STRANGE!!!

I have no clue, but what does the front look like? Any chance the color came from the front fabric ? Just a thought...

I am so sorry that happened! I hope she is able to fix it!!

Oh my!!! Sure hope it can be fixed!
|
Oh no -- hopefully the quilter can fix it for you!!! (Show us a picture of the front....)

Wow. That is really strange. Are the two areas close to each other. Maybe she changed the thread and the other thread wasn't waterproof. I don't know. Just a guess.

Wow! I'd really like to know this, too. I wouldn't be surprised if it were red thread (it's never happened, but I wouldn't be surprised like this!)
Please keep us posted. |
Another cause could be if someone put detergent directly on the fabric before filling the washer. I know the Hancocks here carries color run remover by Carbona, but have never used it before.
Do you know anything more about that thread? |
