The under dress is a satin type fabric with a maching lace overlay the straps are of matching 5/8 satin ribbon. (I do have the right ribbon for the purple dress).

The wedding is Aug 25th no else better lose any weight. I want to get back to quilting have a few project to be finish by Sept glad they're only a baby and a lap quilt but will be cutting it close.

I started the machime emb for both quilts last night

Well good and bad news on the dresses. The pink and purple fit perfect. Yellow just a few minor adjustments. I have to take apart the blue and recut the pieces. Hopefuly I can just use the pieces I have. Still have a little fabric left, but hope I won't have to use it.

Oh wow! These dresses are gorgeous. YOu did an excellent job. :D

They are gorgeous! I simply do not have the patience to do stuff like that.
I was not very fun to be around when I was learning how to sew even little "easy" stuff! It's a testament to my mother's patience and sheer determination that I learn how to sew that I learned what I did.

I would LOVE to have the problem of losing weight! (Until I was done, then keep it off!) :D

Oh, Connie, I know your pain! Remember in March I had a week to make four floor length strapless fully lined dresses for my grandson's wedding? The maid of honor would not come for final fitting, bought a different type bra (after numerous warnings about wearing what she was fitted with) and I ended up pinning with little gold pins the pink dress to her on the day of the wedding..............

Sorry you are having to take the blue apart, they are all so beautiful. You've done wonderful work on them. I so hate taking things apart after sewing.......

Hope you have enough fabric, it's always a challenge isn't it?

Connie and Sharon,
I admire both of you! I so wish I had been brave enough to sew dresses for my daughters wedding. My mother taught me to sew and for years I did make my own clothes. I laugh now, I always worried my stitches would fall apart while I was wearing the item of clothing. Now I wear store bought and sew quilts. I'm glad I know how to sew but it was never my favorite thing to do until I learned about quilting. Quilts are so much easier to do with no body to fit!
To use Boo's word, You two ladies rock!
