I took blocks from three different quilts and came up with this...I like the way all of it turned out except for the green blocks on the ends, they just look out of place to me, I tried the pink fabric and the yellow, didn't like them either, now I'm stuck...what to do?
hmmm, applique flowers on the green ones?
Maybe those green blocks want some yellow triangles in them?
I like that suggestion, Could work..but I've never appliqued.
Repeat them on the top and bottom?
I'll see what that looks like.

Great Idea. This is very pretty.

I think you need the blue in the edges there as well. A stripe, triangle, on-point square, or something.
I think blue vines and yellow flowers, or some kind of applique.
Very pretty!
That looks so good. Congratulations.
You did better than me. It's been a trying week and all I got done quilting-wise was cutting and bagging charm squares for the exchange at my guild meeting. |
Sure is pretty.

Put a strip of pink on each end to give it a finished look. :D
Then you did accomplish something:)

Ok...finished the top. Thanks for all the suggestions, after playing on the design wall for a week this is what I decided to do with it. I agree that it needed something blue there. Im not confident enough to do the applique, but it would have been pretty. Thanks again everyone.

Looks great -putting the blue in the end blocks was just the right amount pulls it all together. Love your colors.
Applique isn't hard- if you can sew a hidden hem stitch you can applique. Can always try machine applique but I find it harder with changing directions and points. I'd rather hand applique.

I think I'd just use the pink in those places. Nothing on them, just the pink. Like the quilt!! It's real nice.
