I was at a wonderful retreat a few weeks ago. I always take easy things , ie already pieced blocks or easy blocks, because the fun factor is huge at guild. These are the two I finished piecing.

Don't know why only one image came up...still learning the new forum! It doesn't like the second pic....says upload failed...I'll keep trying!!!
Persistance paid off...got both up! Yeah!!!!

katyquilter 11-05-2011 05:47 AM

Love the trees, do you have a pattern name for it you can give us?

Sewflower 11-05-2011 05:54 AM

Retreats are great but I end up with more things on my bucket list. You did a lovely job

Woops, I should have remembered that......it was a free pattern from Moda, a couple years ago!!!

Both are very nice. Love all the triangles, something I'm not very good at.

oma66 11-05-2011 06:06 AM

Sounds as if you have a lot of fun at retreats. The results are wonderful. I have never seen the pattern for the first quilt. It is a very handsome quilt; I like the color combination. Nice work!!

I missed my sewing retreat because of my husband's dental surgery and helping out with my sister who has MS. You sure accomplished many projects. I am signing up for the next one they have! I am just a beginner and hope I won't be intimidated by the people who actually know what they are doing!

I am going to my first retreat this week for four days. Don't know what to expect for myself, but I plan on making pillowcases and mittens, along with a double wedding ring wall hanging. You sure were successful! Nice job.

What a great job on them both. Like that second one for when you're gathering signatures or notes for a special memory quilt. I'll have to keep that one in mind (haven't figured out bookmarking yet - lol) and the trees are fun! Oh my!

SherryW 11-05-2011 06:38 AM

Both are very nice!

Vivian Ketron 11-05-2011 09:29 AM

Both of them are very beautiful.

Lady Crafter 11-05-2011 09:52 AM

Love them both ... but especially love the signature quilt. Was that from all attending the retreat or a swap? It is just beautiful.

Luv Quilts and Cats 11-05-2011 09:53 AM

Love them both! I'm glad you have fun.

RuthFru 11-05-2011 11:12 AM

Both are very nice, I especially like the signature one. I agree, the retreats are a lot of fun. I am going on a 3 day one in 2 weeks, can't wait.

Jingle 11-05-2011 05:16 PM

Love the Christmas trees!

Sewlmatesister 11-06-2011 05:42 AM

Thanks for all the kind comments. The tree one was actually quite easy, I've included the pattern in comment number 6 ,I think!!!!

Can anyone help me here? I downloaded this pattern but all I got is a picture w/o directions. This is the 2nd "free" pattern downloaded in as many days, same result both times. Am I doing something wrong or is a picture of the finished quilt IT?? Sorry, Im still new-w-w. I should say, I love your quilts, great work & I bet lots of fun!

jgriinke 11-06-2011 09:57 AM

Both very nice, but I really like the tree one. Thanks for the link to it.
