I have made many by gluing pretty beads onto the yellowheaded pins.

Those are just darling. I love them all. What a creative use of knickknacks.

That's way cool. Thanks for letting me know!!

That is exactly how I make them. I use the pearlized, yellow head or white head pins (and I always use the long pins) and after I get the pin in the middle of the star bead, when the head of the pin is almost touching the bead, I put a drop of hot glue at the base of the pin. That way there is not hot glue on the silver part (shaft) of the pin. I have also glued a star bead on the flat end of the yellow flower head quilting pins (see the clear pin in the apple pin cushion). You can get most of these little knick knacks at a yard sale for 25 to 50 cents a piece. Each one is unique in its own way. I just love taking something that no one seems to want anymore and making something neat and useful out of it.

Very creative use of yard sale finds. With your permission I will copy your ideas for Christmas gifts. Thanks for sharing :)

They are lovely!

You are more than welcome to use any ideas I have. I consider it a compliment for anyone to use any ideas I have. Most times when I post a tute it is something that was given to me and I figure out how it was made and go from there. You Go Girl!!

Love the basket, I have a friend who also makes pin cushions from little knicknacks she finds.
