Please post a picture when it is completed. My favourite colors - it will be very beautiful. I can feel the warmth this will bring to their family for a long time along with great memories of you.

those are lovely. I've got some of that fabric, and used it for shoofly blocks. Your blocks are going to be much more elegant!! I'm sure they will love it.

Okay I have more blocks done. I am now beginning to think about how I want to put this together. Remember this is a lap quilt not a full size quilt. It is for my son and his wife but mainly for my son. So it needs to stay masculine. I have decided not to use sashing. I have tried the sashing on the design wall and did not like it. So here are two layouts. I am asking for votes and then will see which one gets the most votes.

Okay ladies here is the finished quilt top of the blue and white that I am making for my son and his wife. I am trying convince my son that this is my quilt and I need his help. He picked out the border. He laughs and says that this is his quilt. I just tell him that it is mine. I am planing on putting this into the hand quilting frame tomorrow after church and lunch.

That is beautiful fabric. I don't have much quilting experience, but hope I can make make something like this one day. I have made only maybe 6 quilts or so. I will have to post my pics one day.
