Oh that's lovely! Was the pattern (Solar) the quilt top or the quilting? The quilting makes me think "solar wind" LOL
The pattern is Galaxy of Stars from Debby Kratovil I did change it as there were no 6" stars. Center is a 24" block and the others are 12" blocks. The fabric is not batik even though it looks like Batiks.. it is hand painted from Barb's Elegant Designs.. you can subscribe to a yard a month and I've been getting my for somewhere between 4-5 years. The quilting is called Solar from Legacy Patterns. I think the warm and bright batting I put in helped the puff from the design. I did that because the top was so heavy it almost felt like oil cloth. I prefer cotton or wool batting the back ground is a black/purple/blue color while I was quilting it truly looked like the night sky. I need a name any suggestions?

Great quilt. I love bright stars on a black background. I have one in the works (for about three years).
