Danjfalke just posted some beautiful pics of antique quilts. There is one that is just so lovely I'd love to try to make the blocks in it myself someday. Can anyone tell me the name of the block or pattern? Thanks! Karen
The quilt on the far right with the pink stars is the one that I'm really interested in. Can someone tell me the name of the block? |

All of the quilts are very pretty. The pink star one is my favorite, I have no idea as to the name of the pattern.

Is it a dahlia?
Take a look at http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-69489-2.htm It's funny I remember it from about 25 years ago so it must be in some of the quilt books because I didn't have a computer back then. When I did an image search the only place I found it was on Amish sites (and the one above) so maybe it's called an Amish Dahlia. For some reason I thought it was a Pieced Dahlia. |

Thanks for the link. This is a pretty block but I'm still hoping someone might come up with something. Kind of like a treasure hunt, huh?! ;-) |
