I'd love to recreate this for my son, who's now 20, as a college graduation gift. :)

I don't know if this is it, but it sure is close:

If you do a google search for 10 minute quilt block you will find more info on the above. :) Happy quilting.

That's what it looks like to me too!

I agree it looks like the ten minute block.

I have to agree with all of the above. It sure looks like the 10 min. block pattern.

from the look of the stripe-y block under his knee, i'd say it is the 10-minute block, too

Blinkokr 02-24-2012 05:01 AM

Looks like the 10 minute block to me also.
Have a Blessed day

I agree also, 10 minute block.

I think it looks like the 10-minute block, too, because the center square has no seams. But if that pattern is too complicated for you, you could always sew four blocks together with a folded over square in one corner for the same look.

Although the 10-minute block is kind of a fun challenge...

I'm with the others. That quilt is very pretty.

It looks like a traditional Bow Tie block to me. That is the one with the deaded Y seams. There are easier versions now called the 10 Minute block or Easy Bow Tie. The blocks are then set with pale yellow sashing and blue cornerstones. If you want the traditional Bow Tie block, it is probably on www.quilterscache.com?
