This may turn out to be terrible quality of picture, but I love this quilt!!! Does anyone know the name of the pattern and where I might find it?

I don't know the name of it but I have seen a quilt made using that pattern in a shop in PA. I believe I have the pattern. Oh no, it is not where I thought it was...we know what that means. I try to find it this weekend.

You might check quilterscache.com.

I'm back again. I think it is "spinning star" but I am going to find that pattern!

That would be wonderful! Thanks for looking.

I love star quilts. I am determined to learn how to make the points pointed. Good luck in finding the pattern. I have seen it before but don't know the name.

Pretty quilt!

I have it in a book I bought in 1996 "In Love with Quilts" published in 1990 by Leisure Arts. They did it in scraps with the centers all the same color. It's called the Star of the Orient. Probably has many names. It makes up beautifully.

I don't know but it is a beautiful quilt.

Don't know the name, but sure is pretty.

I have Scrappy Star Quilt by Wendy Gilbert. It was a class at the Madison WI quilt show. The border is different.

This looks like another variation of the Double Aster. Shouldn't be too hard
to figure out. ;-) I just did another variation of this star. It was my first star
ever. I guess I couldn't start with something easy. LOL

I just checked, this one is called Double Windmill and is indeed like a
Double Aster less all the little points.

I would love to find the pattern as well. It is absolutely beautiful!! if found, would it be shared??

thanks.

Dee Dee 07-08-2010 03:48 PM

Sure, I'll be glad to share. I found the block on several sites. It's called Double Friendship Star. It's figuring out the fabric amounts, sashing and borders that I would rather have the quilt pattern to tell me what to do. If anyone identifies the quilt pattern, please let me know and we'll post for all to see. It is a gorgeous quilt.
