Great save. Thanks for sharing.

calicojoan 01-22-2013 04:37 AM

How much fun is that! Not having to take the time to embroidery all those adorable little guys is a bonus!

ghquilter53 01-22-2013 04:42 AM

Good choice of fabrics to compliment those cute embroidery blocks. Orange is like my favorite color right now.

Carol Kral 01-22-2013 04:48 AM

Cute quilt, I've made these same monsters and pieced them the same way on an angle. :)

It turned out a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!! Great quilting too. What u want to bet that if the person donating the squares would now like to have it, huh??

Very cute & creative !! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - someone else's junk is a treasure to some others & you did good with someone else's "junk".

MargeD 01-22-2013 10:27 AM

Isn't it amazing that someone would get rid of such adorable blocks? You did a great job on the block settings and the quilting. Great work.

dhanke 01-22-2013 10:50 AM

That is so cute, and to think it was made from unloved blocks and fabrics! You did a wonderful job of turning those castoffs into something really special!

leighway 01-22-2013 01:03 PM

Minnesewta-sam 01-22-2013 01:10 PM

sharin'Sharon 01-22-2013 01:11 PM

Done with my favorite colors....green and orange!!! Don't know how that relates to a personality, but like them anyway. Your quilt is very nice; turned out great. Nice to use stash. Thanks for sharing.

QM 01-22-2013 01:14 PM

That's a good use for both.

JuanitaBean 01-22-2013 02:07 PM

Your quilt is so cute.

ube quilting 01-22-2013 02:13 PM

That is wonderful. My whole house is designed and decorated with OPS (other peoples stuff). If it weren't for yard sales and free stuff at the curb, my house would be empty.

I love that you turned unwanted stuff into such a charming and useful quilt. Way to go!
peace

"One man's trash is another man's treasure."

wraez 01-22-2013 02:36 PM

from 'trash' to TREASURE ... tho I do NOT mean that it started as trash! I'm guessing if that 'someone' saw this quilt, she would be sorry she got rid of those squares.

CherryPie 01-22-2013 02:39 PM

OMG!!! Can't imagine anyone not liking those. You did an awesome job with all of your "don't wants". Thanks for sharing.

Your quilt is absolutely precious and to think that some fabric was given to you or you got it at a garage sale. I just love garage sales, you never know what you will find. You really did a beautiful job.
