OK, I bought this on ebay along with several quilt books, patterns and templates. The seller didn't know what this thingie is and neither do I. Can anyone help?????
The bottom side. There is no writing or numbers on it. The silver knob in the middle turns and the "prongs" or needles come out |
It beats me, but now I'm curious!

It's obviously from outer space, proof that other quilters exist in another universe!

I remember something like that used to make daisy afghans. You wove the flowers on the prongs, then retract them to slide the flower off.

I believe it's something that was used to make some kind of yarn motifs (for lack of a better descriptive word) that were then crocheted together into an afghan. It was used back in the 60's/70's. You wind the yarn in a pattern around the prongs and then make the prongs retreat and remove the motif.

Would anyone like to have it (for free)????
