Sorry just couldn't resist that! You might need sunglasses,it's kinda loud. I making this for my cousin, "they just got hitched "as we say in Bama. They have modern taste when it comes to decorating and her wedding was B&W with dark pink & red accents. I need help with the border, the pattern calls for the borders you see plus black binding, do you all think its to busy,would it look better with just solid borders, I'm stumped.thanks

Wow, that is a beautiful quilt, I would never have thought to use that color combination, but it works so well together as you have it there. Great job on the color selection and execution of the top.

On the border, I think it looks great as you have it. I'm not sure what you had planned for the binding, but I would go with a solid black to tie it all up together.

Beautiful quilt!! I'd use black binding also.

I love the black/white/red combonation...it's my favorite. You've done a great job. Think I would prefer piano keys over the checkerboard but the checkerboard is nice and you've already got some of it done. Definitely a black binding. Definitely.

It's beautiful. I love the multicolored border. I would then bind it in black to frame the whole thing.

Looks good but would add a second border of black to tone down the piano keys a bit. Just my opiion.

Thanks for all the advice, I think I will keep the checkerboard(since one side and top are done) and frame it w/black binding, I am sewing like mad to finish before weekend, have a benefit yard sale and another wedding,making the bridal cake,mercy me what was I thinking! Will post pics ASAP.

My youngest daughter is getting married on Sept. 19...I'm almost finished with the flower girls' dresses...I was going to make my dress, but figured it wasn't worth the stress, with so short a time left. I went to JCPenny and found two on sale...yup, bought'em both for under $60! I had hoped to get a wedding quilt done for them, but the fabric is still waiting to be cut...maybe for their first anniversary...
